Historical development of the Bedrich Hrozny School in Lysa nad Labem within the regional development

The thesis deals with the development of education in the town of Lysá nad Labem, taking into account the historical development of the town and the region. The thesis also describes the history of Lysá nad Labem with an emphasis on education. The aim of the thesis is to map the historical development of the oldest elementary school in Lysá nad Labem. The main source of the work are school chronicles and memorial books, which are kept in the depository of the State district archive - Nymburk, located in Lysá nad Labem. The work deals with the historical development of this school in a particular period namely the years 1878-1945. The work is of a historical character, and the original sources and archival documents were used in its creation. Methodologically, the thesis is based on the historical comparative method, as well as the analysis and synthesis. Historical work is not divided into a theoretical and practical part, but is predominantly theoretical in its character. Risk behaviour of pupils at SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou

The diploma thesis deals with risk behavior of pupils of SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou. The aim of this work is primarily to find out what risk behavior is actually occurring at SOŠ and SOU Kralupy nad Vltavou, whether pupils themselves are aware of how the school attempts to prevent the occurrence of this undesirable behavior, and what is used to eliminate the risk behavior of pupils. It reveals how risk behaviors are treated in the school's basic documents and how this behavior is being prevented. It deals with the functioning of the school counseling center and the work of class teachers. Methods used for this work are document study, focus group and interviews. Observation is an additional method. Research shows that the most common risk behaviors are truancy, substance abuse, bullying and cyberbullying, aggression in the form of vandalism and vulgarism. Based on the study of school documents, it recommends possible ways of making the work of the school counseling center more effective, primary and secondary prevention at school, class teacher's work, and class lessons. The conclusion of the thesis is to recommend the school how to promote the elimination of pupils' risk behaviors. The thesis is a historical character, therefore it is based on the study of primary sources, i.e., school chronicles and other similar documents, in order to clarify the development of primary school in Výprachtice (Lanškroun district). The methods used will be methods of historical research including methods of oral history. Development of the national cultural identity, traditions and values in the subject of Czech language at elementary schools

This thesis examines changes and evolvement in conceptual notions of nationalism and national identity from the beginning of the 19th century until present. The thesis is composed of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part delineates the concepts of nation, national identity and attempts to characterize Czech national identity. Further, it explores the notion in the context of socio-political transformations in our motherland. Moreover, this section looks at notions of education and patriotic education and the way such education was exercised in schools in particular historical periods. The study also concentrates on the concept of mother tongue and its role in building Czech national identity. Comparison of various ways the relationship towards mother tongue in various types of primary schools in this and last century is likewise offered. The practical part consists of two research segments. The first one analyzes various curricula, school material and textbooks from the beginning of the last century until present with emphasis on patriotic education.
